Meet the AOP Assistants
Each day, we have different certified yoga teachers supporting Scott and Jamie with adjustments and teaching.
Ami has been practicing Ashtanga yoga over 15 years.
She completed a 100 hour Ashtanga training with Scott Harig in 2012 after attaining a 200 hour certification in ISHTA Yoga. Workshops with master teachers David Swenson, Richard Freeman and John Campbell as well as meditation lessons have furthered her study of all eight limbs.
Kathrin is a former lawyer turned yoga teacher moved to NYC from Switzerland in 2016. She has been fortunate to train all over the world with her teachers Patrick Creelman, Noah Mazé, Tiffany Cruikshank and Scott Harig, among others. While Kathrin has been teaching yoga for over 10 years, she loves the fact that she will always remain a student of all of the limbs of yoga.
Ben completed RYT-200 training with the faculty of Pure Yoga NYC, and over 300 hours of Ashtanga teacher training with his mentor Scott Harig, John Campbell and Manju Jois. For Ben, teaching is part of the practice, and daily practice is a great teacher.
Nasya has received 300 hours of training in Ashtanga at Pure Yoga NYC with Scott Harig & John Campbell and gained her therapeutics training with Dana Slamp of the Prema Therapeutics Institute. Teaching for over four years and practicing for over six, Nasya continues working to bring a fresh, spirited approach to yoga by staying true to traditional philosophies and building strength through individual exploration. She believes our bodies were made to move, celebrating our differences by connecting to those around us on a deeper level of compassion and understanding - which is why the AOP community makes her feel so at home.
I worked in the fashion industry for over 13 years as a designer and made the switch to full time yoga teacher about 6 years ago. I haven’t looked back since. My trainings at Pure with teachers Scott Harig, Kay Kay Clivio, Yogi Charu, Adam Vitolo and Andrea Borrero. Additional trainings and workshops with Manju Jois, David Williams, Nancy Gilgoff and John Campbell.
Yury’s yoga training started as a healing practice which led him to explore different yoga & mediation styles and tradition in India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam & China. Yury is feeling content to find such a caring and supportive Ashtanga Yoga community here at NYC AOP and to be a part of it.
Claire began practicing yoga over 10 years ago in Santa Fe, NM. She completed a RYT-200 hour training with Kay Kay Clivio and Yogi Charu, a 100 hour Ashtanga training with her mentor, Scott Harig, and trainings with Sonja Rzepski and John Campbell. She practices yoga nidra mediation with her teacher, Jamie Harig. She loves helping students find peace of body and mind through their yoga practices.
Lori completed a 100-hour Ashtanga Yoga training with her mentor, Scott Harig; a 200-hour training with Kay Kay Clivio and Yogi Charu; and has taken numerous workshops with John Campbell -all at Pure Yoga NYC. Lori really enjoyed meeting and learning from Manju Jois at his recent Yoga Therapy workshop in Chicago! For the past decade, Lori has stayed devoted to her teacher and her practice and she feels passionate about sharing yoga with those around her.
